College Counseling

The Counselor meets with students in large groups, small groups and individually to implement the counseling program.
 
The Hayward Twin Oaks Secondary Counseling Program provides all students with a comprehensive school counseling curriculum which encourages the highest level of student achievement. Through a caring and engaging environment, we foster academic, career and personal/social growth to reach the students within our diverse population. Comprehensive information, guidance and support is provided to students in the college exploration, selection and admission process. Students are prepared to become successful lifelong learners through collaboration with teachers, administrators, parents and the Hayward Twin Oaks community.

  • College Advisory for all juniors
  • Communication, problem solving, decision making, & conflict resolution
  • Crisis Intervention

HS COUNSELORS TALK "COLLEGE"

A school counselor or college and career readiness counselor is one of the best resources available to help a student plan for life and education beyond high school. The counseling and career centers have information about admission tests, college preparation, post secondary education and career planning.

Counselor Availability

The Hayward Twin Oaks School Counselor is available for student walk-in appointments anytime outside of instructional time; before and after school, as well as during lunch. Senior College Counseling Workshops

(October 7th-November 8th)

Our college counselor Ms. Rodriguez will be visiting the following Senior Thesis classes to assist seniors on the college application process, SAT/ACT registration, the letter of recommendation process and more!
